Helping
You Find Clarity, Healing, and Meaningful Change
Clinical
Psychology for Children, Adolescents, Adults and Couples
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may
be navigating anxiety, struggling with difficult emotions, facing relationship
challenges, or watching your child go through a season that leaves you unsure
of how to help. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to face it alone.
Therapy offers a space to pause, make sense of
your experiences, and move forward with greater confidence and resilience. My
aim is to provide a safe, compassionate, and collaborative environment where
you feel heard, understood, and supported throughout your journey.
I believe that lasting change begins with
understanding ourselves—not only the challenges we face, but also the strengths
we already possess. Together, we'll work towards helping you develop practical
skills, gain insight into unhelpful patterns, and create meaningful,
sustainable change.
How I Can Help
Whether you're seeking support for yourself,
your child, or your relationship, therapy is tailored to your unique needs and
goals.
Adults
Life's challenges can leave us feeling
exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves and the people around
us. I work with adults experiencing:
Together we'll explore both the immediate
challenges you're facing and the deeper patterns that may be influencing your
wellbeing.
Children
Children often express emotional distress
through their behaviour rather than words. Therapy provides a safe and
developmentally appropriate space where they can understand and express their
feelings, develop healthy coping skills, and build emotional resilience.
Support may include:
Play-based and creative therapeutic techniques
are incorporated where appropriate to help children communicate in ways that
feel natural to them.
Adolescents
Adolescence is a time of significant growth,
change, and self-discovery. It can also bring unique emotional challenges.
I support teenagers who may be struggling with:
Therapy provides adolescents with a supportive
environment where they can explore their experiences without judgement while
developing healthy coping strategies and emotional resilience.
Couples
Healthy relationships require understanding,
communication, and emotional connection. Whether you're feeling disconnected,
experiencing repeated conflict, or navigating a significant life transition,
couples therapy offers an opportunity to strengthen your relationship and
develop healthier ways of relating to one another.
Areas of focus may include:
Psychological Assessments
I also provide comprehensive psychological
assessments tailored to the individual's needs. Assessments may assist with
diagnostic clarification, understanding emotional or behavioural difficulties,
cognitive functioning, personality functioning, and providing recommendations
for schools, healthcare professionals, or treatment planning.
What therapy Looks Like
Beginning therapy can feel intimidating,
especially if it's your first time. My goal is to make the process as
comfortable and collaborative as possible.
Your First Session
Our first appointment is an opportunity to get to know one another. We'll talk about what has brought you to therapy, explore
your current concerns, discuss your personal history, and begin identifying
what you would like to achieve.
There is no expectation to share everything
immediately. Therapy moves at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
Working Together
As therapy progresses, we'll work together to
better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be contributing
to your difficulties, and develop practical strategies that support lasting
change.
Some sessions may focus on learning new coping skills, while others may involve exploring deeper emotional experiences or
long-standing patterns. Therapy is always guided by your goals, your pace, and
what feels most helpful for you.
A Collaborative Process
I believe the therapeutic relationship is one
of the most important parts of successful therapy. Rather than telling you what to do, I work alongside you - helping you develop insight, build resilience, and move towards the life you want to create.
My Approach
Every person is different, which is why I
don't believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy.
My work is grounded in evidence-based practice and draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Psychodynamic principles, mindfulness-based interventions, and play therapy techniques where appropriate.
This integrative approach allows therapy to be tailored to your individual needs, ensuring that our work together is both
practical and meaningful.
About Me
I am a Clinical Psychologist passionate about
helping people navigate life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and
evidence-based care.
Before qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist, I worked as a Social Worker for four years in psychiatric and addiction
settings. This experience provided me with a broad understanding of the emotional, relational, and systemic factors that influence mental health, and it continues to shape the holistic way I approach therapy today.
I completed my Master's Degree in Clinical
Psychology at North-West University. My internship at Weskoppies Psychiatric
Hospital allowed me to work extensively with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties. I later completed my community service within a forensic setting, further strengthening my skills in assessment and psychotherapy.
I remain committed to ongoing professional
development to ensure that my clients receive compassionate, ethical, and
evidence-based care.
Frequently Asked Questions

developmental stage and individual needs. Where appropriate, parents are

Taking The First Step
Seeking support is a courageous decision.
Whether you're reaching out for yourself, your child, or your relationship, therapy offers an opportunity to better understand
your experiences, strengthen your emotional wellbeing, and create meaningful
change.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes, simply taking the first step is enough.
I look forward to walking alongside you on
your journey toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.
